AI Engineering Intern

About the role We’re looking for one AI Engineering Intern to help us build AI systems end-to-end for one of the most complex workflows in European healthcare: procurement. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role for candidates with high agency. At SANOVIO, you will collaborate closely with a small, high-performing team and gain real-world experience building AI-enabled applications in a cross-border B2B environment. Tasks Work across the full stack to build AI agents and AI-enabled workflows end-to-end Improve search and matching quality for products, suppliers, and documents Build evaluations to measure quality and iterate quickly Build data pipelines to process large-scale unstructured data efficiently Support backend improvements to keep systems scalable, stable, and efficient Improve reliability of AI workflows through structured outputs, tool calling, and guardrails Qualifications High agency and a builder mindset , you iterate quickly and get things done Experience or strong interest in NLP, LLMs, embeddings, ML, and AI-powered applications First experience with full-stack development , ideally TypeScript and Python, plus React or Next.js Strong problem-solving capabilities and willingness to learn new technologies fast You’re excited to strive for excellence and build software in a fast-paced startup environmen
