Critical Operations Technician - Switzerland

The Role As part of the local Critical Operations Team, Critical Operations Technicians (COT) ensure the data center is operating smoothly and efficiently 24/7/365, with no downtime of critical services. Critical Operations Technicians are responsible for the inspection, operation and maintenance of all equipment associated with the data center. They are expected to be technically strong with great troubleshooting abilities and a desire to learn and work in a demanding yet rewarding team environment. The Critical Operations Team's on-site presence is organized in a 24/7 shift schedule, ensuring coverage at all hours of the day, year-round. Key Responsibilities Perform operational, preventive, and corrective maintenance on all mechanical and electrical equipment as assigned. Conduct daily and weekly routine inspections on critical equipment, rooms, and systems, ensuring compliance with quality and efficiency standards. Monitor, respond to, and act on alarms from Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Management Systems (EPMS), and other monitoring tools. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems, interpreting diagrams and schematics to detect, repair, and report faulty equipment or unusual conditions. Carry out isolation and reinstatement of electrical, cooling, fire alarm, and gas suppression systems when required and authorized.
