Junior Social Media Manager (Fixed Term Employment)

Ecosia is the search engine that puts its profits towards climate action. We use the power of the internet to fund tree planting, ecosystem restoration, digital sovereignty, and other solutions to the climate crisis, while building a better, more sustainable web. As a social media manager with about 2 years of experience, you’ll join our growing social team of 5, working closely with 3 creatives and the wider 11-person marketing team. Your first project will be getting to know our brand, audiences, and channels before taking on more responsibility for creating and producing your own social content. You’ll help turn everything from tree-planting footage, big climate stories, and tech/product news into content that people actually want to see and share. Please note this is a 1-year contract, covering a sabbatical leave. YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE AN IMPACT: Create and publish content across Ecosia’s social channels, from writing captions and adapting creative assets to developing original content ideas. Help shape and manage our social calendar, ensuring our channels are active, consistent, and responsive to what’s happening in the world. Work closely with our social and creative teams to turn ideas and raw assets into engaging, effective content. Build relationships with our community by responding to users across social and our email help line, escalating product issues and bringing user feedback back to the team.
